Nicole Chappell is a Board-Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and joined REACH over two years ago to be a provider for our Lake Norman location. She works alongside Dr. Richard Wing who also sees patients in the Lake Norman office, which is off Interstate 77 in the LangTree area of Mooresville.
Nicole received her graduate degree from Seton Hall University. She was born and raised in the North Carolina high country. Prior to specializing in infertility, Nicole worked in the specialty of OB/GYN for over two decades. Women’s health has been her primary focus since she began in healthcare.
Infertility has been a passion for her since early in her career. Nicole explains, “When a patient chooses you as a provider and trusts in you to help start or complete their family how can you not be personally invested?” Nicole feels that each patient has their own unique story that has led them to REACH, and each patient needs individualized care and attention. “The highlight of my career thus far has been assisting these families to grow.”
Nicole enjoys living in the Lake Norman area and takes advantage of all it has to offer. When she is not working, you will find her paddle boarding, boating, and spending time with her family and friends - typically around a firepit in the evening. Nicole and her family also have a dog, Ari. Ari has never met a stranger and would rather be on a trail in the woods or in the lake swimming than anywhere else. She is a true best friend to Nicole and most stories lead back to Ari in some way when you are talking about the family!
Nicole is optimistic about the Covid vaccines and can see light at the end of the tunnel. She is also aware of how difficult this past year has been for everyone, including the Lake Norman office since it did temporarily close during the height of the Covid pandemic. She believes that travel is looking promising soon and her bucket list trip to Iceland might be fulfilled, although she will travel anywhere in the Caribbean with no persuasion. However, quarantine did bring out an old love of Nicole’s for at home juicing. If it is edible and can be liquified, Nicole has probably tried it in her juice! Even though quarantine meant a lot more time at home for Nicole than she expected, she feels lucky to be in such a great place to call home.
