Depot Lupron treats endometriosis by lowering estrogen hormone levels that are vital to endometriosis survival. As a result, this medication can provide significant pain relief.
As for fibroids, Depot Lupron can decrease menstrual blood flow and is often recommended before surgery to help allow the woman’s body to build up iron stores in order for surgery to be safely performed.

Follicular Dynamic (FD) Ultrasounds are vaginal ultrasounds done mid-cycle to evaluate timing of ovulation. In a normal cycle, beginning about four to five days prior to actual ovulation, ultrasound can identify the dominant ovarian follicle. In some women this process may not occur in a normal fashion. We can follow the growth of the follicle and determine its size just prior to ovulation.

Both IVF and some IUI cycles begin with a process termed controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (COH). The objective in each case is to encourage the ovaries to produce more than one dominant follicle in a given menstrual cycle. This is not associated with any permanent change in physiology. However, some women may experience Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS).
